Your Flooring Store in Honolulu, HI
Bauer Flooring has deep roots in the industry. Four generations of flooring experience began in 1912 and most recently found a home here in Hawaii. What mattered then still does today: honest guidance, quality craftsmanship and treating customers with respect. When Brian Bauer opened this flooring company in O’ahu, he carried those values with him and built a flooring experience rooted in aloha, integrity and care.
Serving Honolulu and surrounding communities, Bauer Flooring makes floors simple. All of our materials are sourced from our WWII-era flooring showroom in Waipahu and you can easily schedule a shop-at-home flooring consultation to get started. We bring flooring samples, decades of knowledge and straightforward guidance to each project without the pressure or gimmicks. Our process is designed to make you feel confident in your space.
Here are the core values that guide us every step of the way:
We use these values to guide all of our projects. From the first measurement to the final walkthrough, we do it all.
Vinyl is a top flooring choice in Hawaii due to its moisture resistance, durability and versatility. We offer loose-lay, SPC, ABA board and luxury vinyl plank (LVP) options. Each is chosen with island conditions in mind.
Embrace the timeless look of wood without any worries. Our hardwood alternatives offer stability and resilience that not even natural hardwood can deliver in Hawaii.
Step 1
We bring full-size samples to your Honolulu home. This lets you see how each flooring option looks in your natural lighting, next to your cabinets and furniture.
Step 2
We do moisture checks, leveling assessments and subfloor prep to make sure your installation lasts, which is essential in humid Hawaii.
Step 3
Our flooring experts gets down to the details. That means crafting a precise layout, transitions and finishing touches with professionalism and aloha.
Step 4
After your installation, we walk the space with you , answer questions and review care instructions. You only pay when you’re satisfied.
We install vinyl, laminate and carpet tile flooring. Our team uses Hawaii-specific methods to maximize stability and durability.
Take out old flooring safely and efficiently. We inspect the slab for moisture, dips and cracks that could affect your new installation.
Installing stairs requires precision and care. We handle nosings, treads, angles and transitions to provide a seamless, intentional look.
Bauer Flooring stands out because of how we approach every project. We blend heritage, honesty and hands-on expertise that’s rare in today’s flooring industry.
With over 200,000 sq. ft. of flooring on hand, we have one of the largest local inventories on the island. Say goodbye to long waits, shipping delays and guessing when materials are available. You get a real selection, real samples and real floors when you need them.
Choose your flooring in the morning and get it delivered in the afternoon. Our on-island stock makes fast turnarounds simple and that’s something most mainland-run flooring stores can’t offer. When time matters, we move your project forward without the downtime.
Trust should come before payment. With Bauer Flooring, you never pay upfront—only when the job is complete and you’re satisfied. This risk-free experience is how we do business—and have always done business.
With 40+ years of hands-on flooring experience and thousands of installs across Hawaii, we know what works in island homes and what doesn’t. Between navigating humidity concerns and handling uneven slabs, our expertise ensures your floors are built to last.
We store our inventory in a quiet, secure WWII-era bunker in Waipahu, which gives us space and stability to stock more materials than most flooring stores. The unique setup gives us better logistics, faster delivery and a story you won’t get anywhere else.
